Dr. Lisa Stephens
Dr. Lisa Stephens believes that listening is the single most important part of any doctor-patient relationship. And that’s why she gives all patients the time they need to share their stories. In this way, medical problems can be more readily defined and evaluated. Then she and her patient, together as a team, come up with a plan of care. Dr. Stephens believes that most problems can be addressed medically with a combination of lifestyle changes, complementary therapies and medications.
Dr. Stephens began providing ob-gyn care to women in Western Massachusetts in Northampton in 1999. While she loved practicing obstetrics with Hampshire Ob-Gyn Associates and later at RiverBend Medical Group, she has decided to refocus her practice on office-based gynecology. She is especially sensitive to those having their first gyn annual exam and to those having been victims of sexual abuse, empowering them to be in control of their exams. She is interested in caring for women of all ages: from adolescent to elderly. She also provides a full range of gynecologic care, for patients who need contraception and counselling about preventing sexually transmitted infections, to those with menopausal issues and pelvic organ prolapse. She looks forward to caring for you!
